Pinder's Circus is back in town, and performances begin today, Wednesday the 23rd of March 2022.

The roots of Pinder's Circus go back to 1784 with the birth of Thomas Ord the son of the reverend Selby Ord. Young Thomas ran away from home aged only 14 and joined the circus. By 1812, he had started his own circus and soon became a household name all over Scotland and the north of England.

Since then, the circus has stayed in the family, and is now the responsibility of Eddy Pinder, whose family joined their circus with the Ord family circus in the nineteenth century.

Joining Eddy is business partner and ringmaster Mike Lea and, together with their vibrant team, they bring the joy of the circus to visitors across the country.

Performances will be going on throughout the week, but the circus moves out on Sunday evening, so don't miss out!

The Wednesday, Thursday and Friday shows will take place at 4:30pm and 7pm.

On Saturday, there will be shows at 2pm and 5pm, with the run closing on Sunday the 27th of March, the final show taking place at 2pm.

Flyers have been dropped at local homes and shops offering residents a £3 discount for the 200+ year old circus.

Tickets can be booked online, at the office in Cutts Close, or over the phone by calling 01578 083755.
