Oakham: What's on in Oakham this weekend

There are a fantastic range of events on in Oakham this weekend, from meals and music for the wonderful mums out there on Mother's Day, to an evening at Pinder's Circus – and much, much more!
Pinder's Circus is in town this week!
The Wednesday, Thursday and Friday shows will take place at 4:30pm and 7pm.
On Saturday, there will be shows at 2pm and 5pm, with the run closing on Sunday the 27th of March, the final show taking place at 2pm.
Flyers have been dropped at local homes and shops offering residents a £3 discount for the 200+ year old circus.

The Noel Arms in Langham are hosting regular local band Rapscallions this weekend. The band are playing on Saturday the 26th of March, although as their name suggests, they are an unruly bunch so the time remains unconfirmed! The pub team laughed: "They play when they play, which is usually 8:30pm, but do pop in early for a beer and a catch up before the music starts."If the punk/rock sounds of Rapscallions aren't your jam, Rutland Choral Society are holding their Spring Concert this on Saturday the 26th of March.
The concert will be held at Oakham Chapel at 7.30pm, although doors open at 6.45pm and visitors are welcome to arrive early to settle in and find a good seat.
Performances include:
Vivaldi's GloriaRachmaninoff's Vespers
Kyrie from James Whitbourn's Annelies. The evening will be directed by Caroline Trutz and accompanied by Paul Butler. Tickets cost £10 which will include refreshments. These can be purchased online.Rutland Hall Hotel & Spa are christening their brand new Blossoms restaurant with a Sunday lunch in honour of all the wonderful mums out there!
The menu includes pork belly, Mediterranean sea bass, lemon parfait, English cheeses and more!
Lunch will be served from 12pm until 3pm on Sunday the 27th of March and will cost £39 per person, with children able to pick something from the kid's menu or go for a half-sized portion for half the price.
