Rutland Rural Retreats are a new small and secluded two pod glamping retreat set in the beautiful Rutland countryside on the outskirts of Belton in Rutland.

Clare Farmer, owner and manager of Rutland Rural Retreats, said: "Our aim is to provide an escape from every day life for couples and their canine companions. Somewhere you can truly get away from it all whilst still having the comforts of home."

The two Scandinavian style pods currently on offer are fully insulated and heated, and both contain their own en-suite, kitchenette, dining table and sofas. Outside, the pods have their own enclosed garden areas so that people can truly relax without the worry of keeping their dogs on leads. Each has their own sun loungers, fire pit and picnic table. Both pods also enjoy elevated outside decking areas for that early morning coffee or evening tipple.

To enhance the experience, cars are left in a purpose built car park in previous field and luggage trolleys are provided to transport belongings the short distance from the car park. To reach the pods visitors will travel along a meandering lane, get to see the lovely horses on site, and finally cross over a bridge to access the private meadow.

Clare explained: "We have kept our offering at just two pods for now. There are many glamping sites where accommodation is set in lines or next door to each which doesn't allow people to enjoy their privacy. Here, with just two pods, the seclusion is paramount and for two couples booking together, they would have the privacy of the entire meadow to themselves."

With easy access from the A47 near Uppingham, the site is not only easy to find, but means that visitors can explore the local are during their stay. There is also a direct bus route that drops guests off only 250 yards from the door.

Do you have family or coming to visit from further afield but your house just can't squeeze everyone in? Even the nearest airport is less than 35 miles away at East Midlands Airport, making this exciting local venture manageable for local and countrywide visitors.

Clare concluded: "We are currently just adding the finishing touches to the pods themselves all ready for opening on July 1st. We are so excited to welcome visitors and hope that we can provide the perfect summer retreat."
