Residents oppose homes plan for Rutland village

By The Editor 1st Jul 2021

Ketton residents are opposing a planning application for up to 16 homes on a field in the village.

The Ellis family of Kings farm, North Luffenham, have submitted plans to Rutland Council concerning a 0.78ha field at the rear of 52 Luffenham Road.

The outline application promises a 'low density' development with an 'attractive entrance.'

However, among the six or so comments received by Rutland Council, residents say the field is used by wildlife, the homes would overlook neighbouring properties, Ketton has other housing plans underway, the development would make local roads even busier and the site is not in the village development plan.

Rutland Council has yet to determine the application.
