Following a successful production of 'Kinky Boots' at The Cube in Corby, Rutland Musical Theatre (RMT) are holding auditions for their upcoming production of 'Avenue Q'.

Part flesh, part felt and packed with heart, 'Avenue Q' is the laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton. When he arrives in the city with big dreams and a tiny bank account, he has to move into a shabby apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. Still, the neighbours seem nice.

There, he meets Kate (the girl next door), Lucy (the sl*t), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet entrepreneur), superintendent Gary Coleman (yes, that Gary Coleman) and other new friends! Together, they struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

This production will take place at Rutland Showground on Wednesday 30 August.

A spokesperson for the group said: "We're assembling a small cast for our upcoming production of Avenue Q. So if you're interested in all things felt and fuzz. Drop us a message for more information and to sign up for an audition slot to become a member."

Auditions will take place on 27 April 2023.

The team can be messaged on Facebook or [email protected].

The team are also hosting a production of The Addams Family: A Musical Comedy in 2024.

More information about auditions for this production will be released soon.
