Rutland residents have been invited to join The Rutland Concert Band at an upcoming Playday this weekend.

On Saturday 13 April, you can try your hand at a range of woodwind and brass instruments or have a go in the percussion section at a free music event.

Open to residents of all ages and abilities, the playday will give locals the chance to learn about the local band and try a variety of instruments - and perhaps even launch a career in music!

The event will take place from 10am until 3pm at Rutland Showground.

Soft drinks will be provided, but if participants want to stay all day, they should bring food.
