Rutland Vineyard is turning 2, and the team will be celebrating in style.

This weekend, on Saturday 27 May, the Rutland Vineyard team will be celebrating the 2nd birthday of the vineyard and family attraction.

Located on top of a narrow ridge between the rivers Welland and Chater, 70m above sea level and facing south, the vineyard brags great views and a stunning location in the Rutland countryside.

The venue is situated on soil that formed in the mid Jurassic period, promising unique wines.

England's largest dinosaur was discovered only two miles up the Welland Valley. The Rutland dinosaur is a Cetiosaurus, and you can see her in their logo.

Since they opened in 2021, the team have been hard at work growing a variety of vines, including the red Pinot Noir Précoce and Cabernet Noir, and the white Bacchus and Ortega.

On Saturday 27 May, the team will be opening their doors to give Rutland residents a little taste of what they have been up to, and to celebrate their 2nd birthday with friends of the vineyard, families, couples and wine lovers - all are welcome.

There will be:

  • a hog roast
  • cake
  • live music
  • wine tasting
  • tea and coffee

No booking is required - just turn up from 1 - 9pm and enjoy!

Alternatively, head to their website to find out more about the fun on offer at Rutland Vineyard.
