Fairy lights are going up and advent calendars are being opened as we rapidly approach Christmas.

Every year, we have a traditional selection of events on the run-up to Christmas, including Carol concerts, Christingle and the big Christmas Light Switch On.

However, there is also a lot of more non-traditional events going on, giving local a unique way to get into the festive spirit.

Little Piglets Play Session at Rutland Farm Park

This event festive edition of Rutland Farm Park's Tots Tuesday will be full of festive fun and sparkle.

Between 10.30am and 11.30am on Tuesday 16 December, there will be festive arts and crafts, Christmas sensory play and guinea pig cuddles, along with hot drinks for grown ups and juice and festive biscuits for the tots.

Entry to the farm park and a bag of animal feed is also included in the ticket, as well as 20% off children's meals in their tea room.
