A range of new summer activities are heading to Rutland Farm Park this summer, including a Teddy Bear Picnic for young families to enjoy.

Headed up by owners and hands-on managers Clive and Julie, the family-friendly farm has been a top spot for grownups and children since it reopened in 2017 after being closed for over a decade.

It brags a range of attractions and features, including a café, play park, animal petting and feeding sessions, a selection of home and handmade and allergy-friendly goodies available at Daphne's Tea Room, seasonal activities and a collection of rare breed animals.

Now, the team are launching a Teddy Bear picnic, set to take place every Thursday from 26 July. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic, or can pre order theirs from Daphne's Tea Room, and if children bring their teddies along, they get a free bag of animal feed - just be sure to never feed the horses on the farm.

On top of this, every Tuesday throughout the summer, you can join the team in the woodland area for marshmallows and dampers on the campfire from 11am until 2pm. No booking is needed, so just turn up and enjoy the fun!

The team also shared the news of a new arrival to the farm, Bruno the bunny: "Bruno is looking forward to meeting you all this summer holidays for lots of fuss and cuddles."

Bunny cuddles will go ahead every day of the week at 12.30pm and 3.30pm, starting Monday 24 July - the same day that the farm will begin opening every single day of the week to keep you entertained throughout the summer holidays.

To keep up to date with the times and dates of the Teddy Bear picnic, bunny cuddles and other events on the farm, follow the team on Facebook or call them on 01572 722122 to book your day out at the farm.

Tickets can be purchased on the door, or pop to Daphne's Tea Room without paying entry to enjoy a coffee, cake, ice-cream and more. Family and season tickets are also available to purchase online

Parking is free, and you can purchase extras like animal feed on the day for only £1 per bag.
