We at Oakham Nub News asked you to vote for your favourite festive window display in Oakham, and the results of the Best Dressed Shop in Oakham Christmas Competition 2022 are in.

Oakham has a wonderful community spirit all year round, but never more so than at Christmas, when local people, retailers and businesses come together to show-off their artistic flair and spread the Christmas spirit.

Following a week of voting from enthusiastic Nub News readers, shoppers, and business owners, the results are here!

We had entries from a huge range of retailers, from craft shops and clothing retailers to wine bars and café owners - and every single shop display got votes on social media or via email.

In a commendable third place, with 26 votes is:

Warner's Traditional Sweet Shop

Warner's can be found at 6 Market St, Oakham LE15 6DY.

In second place, with an impressive 37 votes is:

Darn Knit

Darn Knit can be found at 1a Mill St, Oakham LE15 6EA.

Finally, our winner in first place with a whopping 52 votes is:

Hungry Birds

Hungry Birds can be found at 2 Burley Rd, Oakham LE15 6DH.

Oakham Nub News would also like to give a shout out to Cromwells for their unique display featuring dinosaurs, which was one of our most comments upon pictures both on social media and in person.

Thank you to all who voted.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
