Traffic update for roads in and around Rutland

Snow is causing slow traffic and delays on the roads this morning, Friday 10 March 2023.

UPDATE 12:30pm:

Congestion has dissipated on all main roads as the snow melts.

Hold ups only remain on Station Road by Oakham Station, accessing shops and businesses up the gravel path beyond the station.

Some side roads have a thin layer of snow and ice remaining and drivers are warned to take caution.

7:30am:

Local people and the Police have been warning of traffic on the following roads:

A607 in between Oakham and Leicester - slow traffic

A47 in Uppingham - slow traffic with some vehicles struggling to pass

Fosters Bridge between Ketton and South Luffenham - flooded

A606 Oakham to Melton - snow building up, vehicles struggling

A606 Leesthorpe/Wissendine crossroads - vehicles stuck

Halstead Hill heading into Tilton on the Hill - cars struggling to get up the hill

A46 closed shut both ways at the A50 turn off for Coalville & Glenfield
