Join in with a host of events in and around Rutland this weekend, including a book signing with local author Adam Croft, a big cat experience, foodie favourites and more.

Sausage and Cider Festival

Enjoy a great Barbecue and live music throughout the Cider and Sausage festival, taking place at The Grainstore 25 - 29 May 2023. 

Annually during the May Bank Holiday we go a wee bit 'Wurzel' and host our Cider and Sausage Festival. Featuring 40 real ciders straight from the barrel and locally crafted sausages including our own Pork and Ale, this is another lively Festival full of great music.

Local bands will also be performing, including:

Thursday 25th – Idle Hands, 8.30pm

Friday 26th – Fowokan, 8.30pm

Saturday 27th – CJ Hatt, 1pm – Jordon Poole, 4pm – Groove Cartel, 8.30pm

Sunday 28th – Pembroke Tenneson, 1pm – Funked Up, 8.30pm

Monday 29th – Tantric Specs, 4pm

Greek Night at Otters

On Friday 26th May at 6:30pm, Otters will be hosting Greek Night. 

The upcoming 'after hours' event at Otters is Greek Night!

This will be an evening full of Greek inspired food and drink. It's an informal event where we can all get together and learn a bit more about Greek cuisine culture and have a laugh!

Tickets cost £37pp.

Adam Croft Book Signing

The Rutland Garden Centre team are very excited to announce that local author Adam Croft will be at Barefoot Sunday for a book signing at Rutland Garden Village on Saturday 27 May from 11am until 1pm.

Adam has now written 5 murder mystery books set in beautiful Rutland - so, whodunnit ????

Adam is looking forward to signing books and chatting with all of you readers as it has been a while since he has done a meet and greet.

Books will be available to purchase on the day.

Live Music at The Fox and Hounds

On Sunday 28 May, Paul Martyn will be performing at The Fox and Hounds, Knossington.

Paul is a saxophonist, DJ and singer who performs soft, romantic ballads, funky tunes, and rocky solos.

The gig will start from 5pm, with food served beforehand. Call 01664 452 129 to book a table.

The bar will be open all day and evening.

The team are also hosting a meal deal evening on Thursday 25 May. This week, enjoy a hearty homemade lasagne for only £12.

On top of this, make the most of their summer drinks deal, where you can get a pint of Atlantic Pale Ale for only £3.

Big Cat Open Day

Big Cat Open Day at Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre is taking place on Monday 29 May 2023.
