There's loads going on this weekend with a host of events taking place in and around Oakham and Rutland this weekend, including Halloween fun at the farm and in the forest, fireworks at Cottesmore Village Hall, a craft workshop and festive fayre.

Halloween at the Farm

Rutland Farm Park have a busy itinerary of activities happening this weekend at their beautiful working farm.

Between 21 October and 2 November, there will be lots of spooky goings-on with a scavenger hunt, fancy dress, exploring the spooky woods, animal meet and feed and fun Halloween games.

The farm park is open between 10am and 5pm.

Craft Workshop at Barnsdale Gardens

Barnsdale Gardens is holding a botanical porcelain hanging decorations workshop on Friday 31 October, where attendees will learn to make beautiful porcelain decorations, ideal for Christmas.

The session will begin with a short guided walk through the gardens to gather leaves and flowers for inspiration and the be led through simple steps to create your decorations.

This workshop is for adults, no prior experience needed.

End of Season Charity Session at Rumble Live

Rumble Live Action Gaming are ending their season with a bang with a special event on 31 October.

Their final end of season session will be a special Halloween-themed woodland laser tag session. Attendees can expect prizes for best costumes, sweet treats, a spooky forest and buckets of fun.

To make it even better, every penny raised will go to Little Miracles, a wonderful charity supporting families of children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions.

Festive Fayre at Rutland Village

Well... this is officially our first festive event of the year!

Head to Rutland Garden Village between 10am and 3pm on 1st and 2nd November for their magical festive fayre.

Explore over 100 fantastic stalls showcasing the work of talented artists and creatives, including handmade crafts, Christmas gifts, cakes and bakes, refreshments and entertainment.

Cottesmore Fireworks Night

On Sunday 2 November, fireworks night will return to Cottesmore Village Hall.

This popular community event will start from 4pm with stalls and refreshments, as well as a delicious BBQ and hog roast from Cottesmore Football Club.

There will also be fairground stalls, a tombola and more with fireworks starting from approximately 6pm.
