Late Night Shopping in Uppingham

Christmas is coming to Uppingham with the return of their late night shopping event.

Running between 5.30pm and 9pm, Uppingham will be enthralled in the spirit of the season this Thursday evening (5th December), including a selection of entertainment, food stalls, crafts and much more.

This is sure to be a special evening for the whole family, with an appearance from Father Christmas and his reindeer sure to create a magical and memorable experience.

Rutland Choral Society Christmas Concert

On Saturday 7th December, Rutland Choral Society will hold their Christmas performance at All Saints Church in Oakham.

This beautiful performance of joyous Christmas music will combine old favourites with new arrangements composed especially for the choir, as well as a selection of stunning solos.

Doors will open at 6.45pm with the performance starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £14 including mulled wine and refreshments and are available online or on the door. For more information, click here.

Oakham Tesco Community Christmas Market

Oakham Tesco is giving back this festive season with a selection of charitable initiatives, including a community Christmas Market taking place on Saturday 7th December between 10am and 3pm.

The market will include local craft stalls, food vendors, cake and sweet stalls and a visit by Santa, helped by the Rutland Lions. There will be a charitable collection for Voluntary Action Rutland.

Macrame Christmas Wreath Workshop

Join Rutland Adult Learning's fun and festive macramé class and learn the foundational knots needed to create your very own Christmas Wreath.

This workshop is perfect for beginners and will explain the basics of macrame, leaving you able to make a beautiful wreath to take home.

This workshop runs from 10am to 1pm on Saturday 7th December at Oakham Enterprise Park. For more information, click here.

Live Music at The Catmose Club with Rita B

Between 6.30pm and 9pm at the Catmose Club Bar, local performer Rita B will be singing a selection of Christmas songs and hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

This show is back by popular demand and will feature a guest appearance from Ben-James.

Rita B is versatile singer from Rutland, performing her Christmas show across the county throughout December, promising floor fillers, Christmas classics and a fantastic evening of fun.

Thursday Night Dinner at Fox and Hounds

Fox and Hounds have a range of specials on offer this week (Fox and Hounds).

The team at The Fox & Hounds in Knossington be hosting their weekly Thursday night special on 5 December, and this week the team are serving up fried Mexican-style chicken piri-piri tacos OR beef brisket chilli with jalapeño guacamole, salsa and sour cream.

For just £12.95, every week they put on a popular meal deal, and you can head down to 6 Somerby Road, Knossington to join the fun.
