Ruddigore at Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre

If you're wanting to get in the mood for spooky season, check out Ruddigore, a Victorian tale of a young man trapped by the curse of his ancestors.

Filled with songs, laughter and ghostly goings on, Ruddigore is a family friendly play sure to have everyone enthralled in its topsy turvy Halloween tale. Ruddigore is on at Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre from Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th October.

Coffee Morning at Oakham Church Hall

Friends of All Saints Oakham are holding a coffee morning on behalf of The Citizens Advice Bureau.

Everyone is welcome to Oakham Church Hall this Friday between 10am and 12 noon for a lovely morning of coffee, cake and a raffle.

'Day of Dance' with Rutland Morris and friends

As part of their 50th Anniversary celebrations, Rutland Morris will be joined by over 140 fellow dancers for a dancing tour around the county this Saturday 12th October.

With stops in Oakham, Exeton, Whissendine, Barrowden, Uppingham and plenty more surrounding villages, Rutland Morris have three coach-fulls of dancers ready to embark on their various routes across the county, starting and finishing in Oakham.

Makers Market at Uppingham Town Hall

Uppingham Town Hall will be hosting a Makers' Market this Sunday with a beautiful collection of artisan goods.

Described by the organiser as 'a lovely event where you can buy beautiful things made by local people,' this event is perfect whether you're starting your Christmas shopping early, looking for a unique gift or fancy treating yourself.

There will be a large variety of goods on sale, including candles, jewellery, wood and leather goods and textiles.

The market runs from 11am until 3pm on Sunday 13th October.

Thursday Night Dinner at Fox and Hounds

The new 'Foxy burger' is being served at Fox and Hounds tonight (Fox and Hounds).

The team at The Fox & Hounds in Knossington be hosting their weekly Thursday night special on 3 October, and this week the team are serving up 'The New Foxy Burger' which is a grilled Northfields Farm patty, ale and red leicester cheese rarebit, smoked bacon and onion jam, pickles and fries. 

For just £12.95, every week they put on a popular meal deal, and you can head down to 6 Somerby Road, Knossington to join the fun.
