An exhibition inviting people to revisit their childhood by celebrating half a century of family board games will open at Rutland County Museum later this month.

The Game Play exhibition is part of a series of special events and activities taking place throughout 2019 to mark the museum's 50th anniversary as one of Rutland's favourite free visitor attractions.

A new home learning course developed by the Rutland Adult Learning and Skills Service (RALSS) is helping military spouses gain new qualifications in maths so they can access further education and employment.

The online Functional Skills Maths programme aims to help Rutland's local armed forces community to access Level 1 and 2 maths courses – Level 2 being the equivalent of a GCSE grade.

After winning a silver gilt award in the town category last year, the Oakham in Bloom team has its sights firmly set on securing gold when they welcome the judges on Thursday (4 July).
