The school, set in the heart of the Rutland countryside, is centred on pupil s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The school is seeking out a passionate and creative team player with a therapeutic approach to teaching to join their tight knit team. A successful SEND Teacher / SEND QTS who can bring a new dimension and skill set to the role with the potential to become a long-term or permanent placement for the right SEND Teacher / SEND QTS.

The successful SEND Teacher / SEND QTS must be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The SEND Teacher / SEND QTS MUST hold a full and clean drivers licence and have access to a vehicle as there is no public transport available in the area.

The successful SEND Teacher / SEND QTS will have:

• Experience working with young people, QTS is desirable but position is open to non-qualified applicants
• Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
• Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• A bright and bubbly personality with unwavering positivity
• Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable but not essential
