Leicestershire Hygiene Manager 60,000 We are a working quickly-growing food manufacturer that supply high-quality products to the food service industry. They have a strict commitment to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring that their products meet all regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations.They are on the search for a Nights Hygiene Manager to lead and oversee the hygiene function across the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in food manufacturing hygiene, a clear understanding of food safety legislation, and the ability to maintain a clean and compliant production environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the hygiene team to ensure daily cleaning and sanitising activities that meet company and customer standards
  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of the site's cleaning schedules and standards
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and best practices, including HACCP, BRCGS, and other relevant certifications
  • Conduct regular audits of hygiene practices across the facility, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are taken
  • Maintain records of hygiene audits, cleaning schedules, and corrective actions, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with industry standards
  • Manage the procurement of cleaning materials and equipment
  • Train, develop, and coach the hygiene team to ensure a high standard of performance and adherence to hygiene protocols

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a hygiene management role within food manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety legislation (HACCP, COSHH)
  • Experience in leading a team and developing a high-performing hygiene function
  • A food safety qualification and relevant hygiene management certifications
