We have available a brilliant opportunity for an aspiring Head Chef looking to try out new ideas, show their cooking flare & develop their kitchen management skills.

We are looking for a Chef who can work with the team to achieve the hotels longer term food accreditation vision & goals.

Our ideal candidate would currently hold a Head Chef or Sous Chef position and have a variety of a la carte experience in Rosette standard restaurants and ideally event catering.

This role would provide the applicant with a great deal of freedom of expression and the main responsibilities for the Head Chef role would include:

  • Take full command of all kitchen duties and responsibilities.
  • Lead in developing & costing the a la carte menu content, food preparation & presentation.
  • Take the lead in the running of the a la carte dinner service meal period, ensure consistency, quality & guest satisfaction with all dishes leaving the kitchen.
  • Develop new dishes / recipes and menu content allowing for new trends and popular items.
  • Mentor, train and develop the team.
  • Weekly ordering of food supplies.
  • Forecast food revenue & production, monitor food purchase prices & purchasing spend to ensure that the food cost target is met.
  • Ensure the completion & compliance with all HACCP documentation, shift checklists & cleaning procedures

Requirements to apply for our Head Chef :

  • Must have considerable experience working in a fast paced busy Kitchen establishment
  • You must be hard working and enthusiastic, eager to prepare nothing but the highest quality food for our customers
  • You must have ambition within your career and be willing to develop others.
  • You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.

Excellent leadership skills are key to success in this role. You must be able to motivate team members and maintain a positive attitude with customers.
