Change to Rutland Council call centre hours

By The Editor

27th May 2021 | Local News

Rutland County Council is updating the opening hours for its customer services phone line.

From Tuesday 1 June, Customer Services will be available to help callers with their enquiries from 9.00am in the morning to 12.30pm, and 2.00pm to 5.00pm during the afternoons, from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, the times are 9.00am to 12.30pm and 2.00pm to 4.30pm.

As contact with customers via phone is reducing in the early morning period before 9.00am, the Customer Services team is moving resources during that time to deal with enquiries received by online channels and emails, so that it can provide a better service.

The number to call for Rutland County Council is unchanged and remains: 01572 722 577. You can also contact the Council by emailing: [email protected].

The Council also has a dedicated out-of-hours phone line for emergency calls when its offices are closed: 01858 464 499.

The walk-in customer service centre at the Council's offices in Oakham currently remains closed due to COVID restrictions and the operation of Rutland's vaccination centre on site.

Appointments are available online or via the phone for callers who need to meet Council officers, as well as an emergencies-only walk-in service for anyone who needs help with serious problems such as homelessness or domestic abuse.

Rutland residents and business can also access a wide range of Council services online 24/7 by visiting: www.rutland.gov.uk/online.
