Upp have a 'flipping' delicious afternoon at Pepper's - A Safe Place

Upp, a new local broadband supplier, have enjoyed a 'flipping' delicious afternoon at the Oakham-based charity, Pepper's - A Safe Place.
Pepper's – A Safe Place, is based in Oakham and, on Shrove Tuesday, hosted a pancake morning for their users, with pancakes and toppings donated by local broadband provider, Upp.
Pepper's – A Safe Place, has hubs in Oakham and Melton Mowbray and is open for sessions and wellbeing activities for any adults who may be struggling with their mental health. The sessions allow you to relax, meet new people, and have a cup of tea or coffee, helping to combat loneliness in a warm and friendly environment.
After supporting the hub in December, Upp donated pancakes, toppings and more hot drinks supplies to Pepper's, so everyone could enjoy and decorate some tasty treats.

Mary Freeland, Upp's B2C Campaign Manager said, "It was so lovely to see everyone at Pepper's decorating their pancakes. Pepper's is such a great organisation, enabling people in the community to get together and have a fun. At Upp, we have been really keen to work with warm space initiatives this winter, to help support local communities during these challenging times, and we are delighted to have made this donation to Pepper's."
Pippa, the organiser of Pepper's, said, "Upp Broadband reached out to us last month to see if we'd be celebrating pancake day and if we would like any donations. We were thrilled when Mary came in with two baskets full of treats. We're now stocked up for another month with refreshments too and we enjoyed some delicious pancakes over lunchtime. We'd like to thank Upp again for supporting our community hub and bringing joy to our centre."
If you or anyone you know is looking for somewhere friendly to go and have a chat or take part in an activity session, head online or email Pippa at [email protected] to find out more.
