The Arts Society Oakham talk on 'The Subtle Science and Exact Art of Colour in English Garden Design'
The Arts Society Oakham is hosting on of their popular talks, this week covering 'The Subtle Science and Exact Art of Colour in English Garden Design,' discussing similarities between gardening and painting a picture.
This talk by Timothy Walker looks at how to apply these principles in designing a border, but also looks at the ways borders differ from paintings as well. The talk will also discuss how works by artists like Turner, Monet, Rothko and Jackson Pollack evolved in parallel with ideas of what a garden or border could show.
