Join in with a host of events in and around Rutland this weekend, including fun at the farm, foodie feasts, and Father's Day celebrations.

Meal Deal at The Fox and Hounds

On Thursday 15 June, The Fox and Hounds in Knossington will be hosting another meal deal evening. 

This week they will be serving Sweet Chilli Duck Stir Fry with Pak Choy and Noodles - all for only £12. 

You can also enjoy a summer beer offer: a pint of Atlantic Pale Ale for only £3.

On top of this Thursday deal, on Father's Day, Sunday 18 June, every dad who eats at The Fox and Hounds will get a free dessert! 

Enjoy a range of top notch meals from the wide menu, or a Sunday lunch, and dad gets a free pudding - only this Sunday, 18 June 2023.

Oakham Pride Festival of Love

On Saturday 17 June, Oakham Pride 2023 will be taking place in Cutts Close and Oakham Castle. 

Enjoy music, stalls, games and more at the now-annual event.

All are welcome to attend in support of the local LGBT+ community. 

Entry is free and the event kicks off at 12:30 and goes on until 4:30pm.

Father's Day at Rutland Farm Park

On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June, Rutland Farm Park will be celebrating Father's Day by offering free entry to all dads with one paying guest.

The established attraction located on Uppingham Road will be welcome families across the weekend to enjoy a day out on the farm suitable for all ages. 

Meet the horses, goats, sheep, alpacas, chickens, geese and any more furry friends, including a range of rare-breed animals.

Head to the cafe to enjoy local ice-cream, fresh snacks, sandwiches and more, and learn all about rural life in Rutland. 

Visitors can buy tickets on the door from 10am, and the farm closes at 5pm, with last entry at 4:30pm.

Rockingham Castle Jousting and Medieval History Day

Can good triumph over evil? Find out on Sunday 18 June as the Knights of Nottingham battle for victory amidst the thunder of hooves and clashes of steel.

Knights and Horses combine for a hard hitting Medieval Jousting display. The Rockingham jousting show is filled with sword swinging, gut punching thrills, anything can happen and often does with fantastic audience participation and comedy included!

Cheer for the White Knight or boo at the Black knight, hear thunder of the charging forces as the great Knights battle on the original Tilting Lawn.
