Very Beautiful South

Very Beautiful South are the UKs most authentic tribute to The Beautiful South and the genius songwriting partnership of Paul Heaton & David Rotheray. Between 1989 and 2006, The Beautiful South clocked-up no less than 20 UK Top-30 hits with most making it into the UK Top-10, including the No.1 hit A Little Time and other classic songs such as: Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Old Red Eyes, Good As Gold, and Don't Marry Her; not to mention their Greatest Hits album, Carry On Up The Charts, which sold just under 2-million copies – making it the second highest selling album of 1994 and which went on to stay in the UK Album Top-30 for the whole of 1995 – achieving no less than six Platinum Disks!

Celebrating this legacy are a group of enthusiastic and experienced musicians who are, first and foremost, lifelong fans of The Beautiful South. Selling out venues across the UK and quickly gaining themselves a reputation for putting on a hugely entertaining show, Very Beautiful South are the perfect tribute band for festivals, live music venues and theatres across the UK – playing hit after hit of 'Sing-Along-A-South' classics – all lovingly recreated to transport you back into the heady days of Hull's alternative pop-rock sound, quirky lyrics and catchy melodies.
