The Plough in Greetham have won CAMRA Pub of the Season 2022.

A popular local venue for eating, drinking, revelry and even grocery shopping, The Plough in Greetham have got it all - and now they have won CAMRA Pub of the Season 2022.

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is an independent organisation run by volunteers who promote and champion real ale, cider, and traditional British pubs and clubs.

CAMRA is considered one of the most successful consumer organisations across Europe. Founded by four real ale enthusiasts back in 1971, today they represent beer drinkers and pub-goers across the UK.

They are prolific in Rutland, naming a range of local pubs, clubs and breweries in their Good Beer Guide 2023. Venues on this list are The Crown Inn at Great Casterton, Empingham Cricket and Sports Club, The Railway in Ketton, Oakham's The Grainstore Brewery, The Vaults, The Crown Inn, and the Exeter Arms all in Uppingham.

Now, The Plough in Greetham have been honoured by the CAMRA team, and are delighted to have been awarded CAMRA Pub of the Season 2022.

The team said: "We've won!! All the team are chuffed to bits, thanks for your continued support."

This comes after Oakham-based venue, The Grainstore won three awards in the 2023 Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) East Midland Champion Beer of Britain Regional Competition.
