By The Editor 26th Nov 2021

Residents are being reminded to return any postal votes as soon as possible ahead of parish, town and county council elections taking place on 2 May 2019.

Postal vote packs for the local elections have now been issued to those who are registered to vote by post.

A final distribution of postal votes is due to take place on 23 April 2019 to accommodate any last-minute applications.

Once received, postal voters are advised to complete and return their packs as soon as possible. This can be done in one of the following ways:

· By Royal Mail

· By hand to Rutland County Council's Oakham offices before 5pm on Thursday 2 May

· By hand to your Polling Station between 7am and 10pm on Thursday 2 May

If you have not received your Postal Vote pack and would like to query this with the Council's Elections Team call 01572 722 577 or email [email protected].

The final date for registering to vote in the forthcoming local elections was 12 April and for registering for a Postal Vote 15 April.
