The Bus Users Meeting, previously scheduled for November 2022, has now been rearranged for Thursday 19 January 2023, from 2pm to 3.30pm in the Council Chambers at Catmose House, Rutland County Council, Oakham.
Questions that were pre-submitted by Rutland residents for the November meeting will be addressed at the meeting which will be attended by representatives from our local bus operators. Residents are invited to come along to the meeting, however a full list of all the questions received and any answers will be published on Rutland County Council's website after the meeting, for anyone who can't attend.
Councillor Rosemary Powell, Cabinet Member for Transport at Rutland County Council, said: "We understand how important local transport services are for those who rely on buses to get around and we have therefore rearranged the date of the meeting at the earliest opportunity and are eager to address the submitted public questions. Operating a rural bus network is particularly challenging right now but we are determined to provide the best service that we can. We hope that passengers will be able to come along to the meeting and help us make positive changes."
