The popular Rutland Farm Park has re-opened for the bank holiday weekend.
The attraction opened yesterday in time for the Bank Holiday Weekend after months of closure due to government-imposed lockdown restrictions.
During lockdown, the park on Uppingham Road, Oakham, has been supported by food donations to help cover the cost of feeding the animals.
The park has re-opened, including on Bank Holiday Monday, with some measures to help ensure safety, in line with government regulations.
The park has posted on its Facebook site: "Please follow our one way system and please beware of our no feeding signs. Some of our animals have a delicate tummy & require little or special feed. Please please do not feed these animals as it may result in a very expensive vet call out."
"We are excited to welcome you all back, we still have some work to do so please bare with us whilst we continue our maintenance work. If you have any ideas or suggestions please send them our way. We appreciate every little help."
The post added: "A huge huge thank you to EVERYONE who donated to us to keep us going, we would not be reopening today if it was not for each of you. THANK YOU."
When the park announced its May 1 re-opening several weeks ago, it also said: "There will not be any indoor access to the tearoom, so all refreshments and food will be served and consumed outside.
"Due to the excessive wet winter weather we have decided to delay reopening to allow extra time to reinstall the required one-way systems and carry out maintenance that we have been unable to undertake due to the weather."
