Throughout May 2024, Pepper's- A Safe Place will be hosting a range of activities open to all, with additional sessions and workshops taking place to mark May's Mental Health Awareness Month.

Pepper's- A Safe Place is a mental health and wellbeing charity that runs friendly and welcoming drop-in sessions and activities for any adults who may be struggling with their Mental Health.

All adults are welcome to come and take a break, socialise, combat isolation, have fun and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

Development Manager, Pippa Gorman, said: "Loneliness is something that I'm sure we have all struggled with, especially throughout the pandemic. But many live with it everyday. We want to bring the community together, with a shared, safe and welcoming space for all, to chat, socialise, have fun and be less alone."

Pepper's - A Safe Place have been open for over four years, offering drop-in sessions for any adults struggling with their mental health or loneliness.

Pippa said: "Our sessions are open to all adults, you can take some time out in a relaxed environment, chat with others, have fun or just relax with a cup of tea.

"We encourage anyone in the community to come and have a chat with us during our market stalls or to pop into one of our sessions during the week. Even if it's not for you, it may be that a friend or family member would benefit from that social, relaxed and safe space that Pepper's can provide."

Pipa added: "We are ready for Mental Health Awareness Month this May and will be celebrating with a series of new activities and workshops.

"Please take a look at our What's On guides and 'Have a Go' series:"

Pippa concluded: "The sessions are all free and open to all adults. We hope they'll provide an opportunity for locals to try something new in a safe and friendly environment, learn new skills and have fun!

"If you are interested in coming along we are open to drop-ins as usual. However, if you're able to give us a heads up it always helps us to better estimate numbers for our workshop providers."
