An award winning pub in the heart of Rutland has updated its busy events schedule, which includes senior meal deals, themed food evenings, bingo, a weekly quiz night and much more.

The Plough Inn is a lively community hub and popular pub with the locals at the heart of Greetham. It has been recognised by the Rutland Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) team and welcomes top reviews on TripAdvisor, as well as being recognised as 'easily one of the most dog-friendly' pubs around.

And it is no wonder that this venue is such a hit with drinkers, local foodies and dog owners alike, as the team works hard to cater for all of its patrons, two legged or four!

The team, headed up by Landlord and chef, Peter Ling, keep things fresh at the pub, which offers a range of deals throughout the week, as well as bingo and quiz nights and live entertainment each weekend.

• Senior Moments - over 60s lunch including two courses for £7.99
• GYP Monday - a giant Yorkshire pud filled with a variety of classic fillings for £11.95 or £20 for two

Tuesday

• Pie Night - award winning pies for £15.95 each or £25 for two
• Bingo - weekly cash bingo, from 7pm

Thursday

• Burger Night - buy one get one half price burgers
• Quiz Night - win prizes and have a go at cracking the safe, from 8pm

Friday

• Fishy Friday - buy one get one free on haddock and chips all day

Saturday

• Live Entertainment - regular music and more

Sunday

• Sunday Lunch - homemade and hearty Sunday roasts every week

As well as hosting regular events, the team also fundraise for local and national charities, and have recently donated over £170 to the National Military Working Dogs Memorial.

Late last year, they also donated 20p of every pint sold to the Royal British Legion, as well as offering a free pint to ex and serving military personnel over the Remembrance weekend.
