Rutland Refill have put out a call for volunteers looking to join their lively team.

Rutland Refill Community Interest Company, located at 1 Westgate, is a zero waste Community Interest Company based in the heart of Oakham.

Rutland Refill is the only zero waste community shop and online click and collect in Rutland. Its ethos is simple: sell plastic-free products, source as locally as possible, and reduce food waste.

The store is dedicated to the environment and sells groceries, cleaning, and health and beauty products without plastic packaging.

The shop is also home to a deli and a café where Rutland residents can sit back and relax whilst enjoying some freshly made barista drinks, paninis, sandwiches, and specials.

Any profits that are not reinvested into Rutland Refill will go to local and environmental causes.

They also host weekly art and writing groups, as well as a chatty café and other community-led events.

On top of this, the community venture offers volunteering opportunities within the local community, which allows the shop to commit to their promise to support local causes.

The team said: "If you are interest in volunteering at Rutland Refill Community Interest Company, please pop in to meet us

"We offer a variety of different opportunities for everyone in our community hub including working in our shop and cafe, in the small kitchen, administration support, hosting community and well being groups and much much more!!

"Volunteering with us can allow you to focus on learning new skill sets for your chosen future and most importantly, brings people together in a supportive, fun and friendly environment

"We also would love to have more students doing D of E (Duke of Edinburgh award) volunteer with us, or home schooled children wanting to add something a bit different into their week.

"Come in and find out more today."
