Due to yesterday's heavy rain the team at Rutland Farm Park have decided to close the farm until Saturday 6 January.
Having waterlogged the farm and making the paths incredibly muddy and slippery, the team at the family-run farm yard attraction have made the decision to close to keep all of their visitors warm, dry and safe.
The Uppingham Road attraction - which was named Family-Run Attraction of the Year in 2023 - has faced both trials and tribulations this over the last six months, including farm Amy being out of action with a broken arm late last year. Now, it has been forced to close for the week due to heavy rain yesterday, 2 January 2024.
The team posted:"Due to all the heavy rain we have had which has made the farm incredibly muddy and slippery, due to health and safety we have decided to close the farm until Saturday. See you then from 10am."
In the meantime, you can get excited about joining the team for Guinea pig cuddles at 11am when the team reopens the farm on Saturday 6 January.
The team are also planning February Half Term Fun on the Farm, so watch this space for a range of family-friendly events scheduled for the school holidays.
They will also be marking Shrove Tuesday with a pancake spectacular, and Valentine's Day with a glass of fizz at their Valentine's Tea.
You can find out more about these events by calling the team on 01572 722122.
