People living in Langham are being urged to return any postal votes for the Langham Neighbourhood Plan Referendum as soon as possible, to avoid any disruption caused by Royal Mail postal strikes.

A Notice of Referendum on the Langham Neighbourhood Plan was published in November. The Referendum will be held on Thursday the 15th of December 2022 to decide if the Neighbourhood Plan should be adopted to help decide planning applications in the Langham area.

Postal votes for the Langham Neighbourhood Plan Referendum are due to be dispatched on Friday 2 December and should arrive with registered postal voters on or around Monday 5 December. People living in Langham are being urged to return postal votes as soon as possible, to avoid possible disruption caused by upcoming Royal Mail strikes.

If no national agreement is reached in the ongoing Royal Mail pay dispute, there are postal strikes planned for Friday 9, Sunday 11, Wednesday the 14th and Thursday the 15th of December 2022. 

Postal votes can be delivered by hand to Rutland County Council's Catmose offices in Oakham up to 10.00pm on polling day (Thursday 15 December), using the exterior post box next to the Council's main staff entrance. Alternatively, they can be delivered by hand to the polling station at Langham Village Hall on Church Street between 7.00am and 10.00pm on polling day.
